My work in the Health Liveable Cities group in the Centre for Urban Research is focused on urban liveability, an inherently spatial concept. I develop scripted workflows for spatial analysis using Python and PostgreSQL with Postgis for our GIS team’s national liveability work. This work was instrumental in the production of our 2017 national liveability report on Australia’s capital cities, and currently ongoing update for more than 21 capital and regional cities around Australia as part of the National City Performance Framework.
My experience includes spatial regression models using R and R-INLA, cartography and reproduceable spatial analysis using ArcGIS, QGIS and PostGIS via python, and interactive visualisation of maps using javascript, NodeJS and Leaflet.
