Quanda (Samuel) is a PhD Candidate and Researcher in Economics at RMIT. His research area is in Development Economics with a focus on inequality, poverty, financial inclusion and development. His research applies rigorous econometric techniques founded on sound economic theory in order to formulate evidence-based economic and social policy recommendations aimed at improving conditions in developing countries. Quanda (Samuel)’s work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the B.E. Journal of Macroeconomics and Applied Economics Letters. He has attended international conferences and has won two Best Paper Awards. Recently, Quanda (Samuel)’s research has received wide media attention, and has been featured by World Economic Forum, the Conversation, Asia Times, the Indian Economist and the Huffington Post.
