Xavier is a part-time PhD candidate at the Centre for Urban Research within the School of Global, Urban, and Social Studies. Xavier’s research focuses on understanding the nature of urban disadvantage from its many facets: locational, housing, transport and socio-economic, with the goal of developing a coalescent approach to modelling its spatial distribution. He has experience in spatial analysis and GIS methods. Xavier also has an interest in the spatial structure of diversity within cities, especially with respect to LGBT and ethnic communities. Xavier is Outreach Manager at the Australian Urban Research Infrastructure Network (AURIN)
